Seattle Kidney Trip – Day 1

This is the calm before the storm. So far, things are business as usual as our trips to the Pacific Northwest go: Papa Murphy’s pizza, hugs from the Thompson boys, sleepily watching YouTube clips on Doug’s giant Panasonic Viera HDTV.

It’s a little before noon now, PST. Naomi and Heather are out getting haircuts, Doug and the boys are playing outside, and I’m enjoying a bit of quiet Mike Time. I think we’re hanging out with some people tonight. Tomorrow, we go in for Heather’s pre-op consult. The actual surgery is very early Wednesday morning. Currently, anxiety levels are nominal.
